Dolpo Region
 Jumla
to Dolpo is perhaps the best way to get a taste of remote
Nepali country life. Arranged in the seasons when the air
is clear, the mountains are lovely and the dry plains heart-touching,
this trek climb up to villages that are possibly the highest
natural settlements of man. Mountains and monasteries are
found in unlikely places, and the region still has followers
of the pre-Buddhist Bonpo religion. There are Tibetan style
"inner Dolpo "villages in Tarap. But most of the
southern part of Dolpo is a region of Hindu influence
Trek
Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu then transfers to Hotel.
Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
Day 3 Official work, briefing and preparation day for the
Dolpo.
Day 4 Kathmandu - Nepalgunj by flight then transfer at Hotel
or, Camp.
Day 5 Nepalgunj - Juphal 2353m. By flight & trek to Dunai
2150m. Overnight at Camp.
Day 6 Dunai - Roha 2970m. Camp.
Day 7 Roha - Regi 3100m. Approx. Camp.
Day 8 Regi - Ringmo Village 3600m. (Near by Phoksundo Lake).
Camp.
Day 9 Ringmo (Phoksundo Lake) rest and explore.
Day 10 Ringmo (Phoksundo Lake) - Pungmi Village.
Day 11 Pungmi Village - Kagmara Base Camp 5067m. Approx. Camp.
Day 12 Kagmara Base camp - Kagmara Pass 5115m. - Garpung Khola.
Camp.
Day 13 Garpung Khola - Kai Gaun 3000m. Camp.
Day 14 Kai Gaun - Chouri Kot 3200m. Camp.
Day 15 Chouri Kot - Churta 3300m. Camp.
Day 16 Churta - Gothichaur (Lunch Place) - Overnight in Jumla
2300m. Camp.
Day 17 Jumla - Nepalgunj by flight then transfer at Hotel
or, Camp.
Day 18 Nepalgunj - Kathmandu by Bus then transfer at Hotel.
Trek End.
Day 19 Kathmandu frees for shopping.
Day 20 Transfer to Airport for your onward journey. (Final
Departure)
